Asheville, NC · No trip fee
Straight mailbox posts on streets that aren't straight about anything.
Asheville frontage is sloped, rooted, rocky, and occasionally all three at once. We set posts plumb and at USPS height anyway — that's the job.
Where we work around Asheville
Asheville proper, West Asheville, North Asheville, Arden, Biltmore-area streets, Weaverville, and Black Mountain. We're twenty minutes down I-26 in Fletcher, so Asheville scheduling runs almost as fast as our home county.
Older homes, harder ground
A lot of Asheville boxes were set decades ago, and the street has been repaved — sometimes twice — since. Repaving raises the road, which quietly drops your box below the USPS 41–45 inch window. If your carrier has ever left a note about box height, that's what happened. We measure off the current road surface and set the new box where it belongs.
On steep frontage we cut the post to keep the box level at spec, even when the bank behind it falls away. A gravel apron ($129 add-on) is the honest fix for the wash-out strip where mountain rain takes the grass every spring.
